Los Hicsos
About Los Hicsos
Los Hicsos are a Costa Rican tropical band founded in 1968 and fronted for decades by singer Gerardo Ramírez, with the comic character Martina as a stage fixture. Their repertoire mixed cumbias, merengues and ballads, from the 1975 CBS recording of Sabadito Alegre to the 1989 single El Hula Hula, one of the defining chiqui-chiqui hits.
