Croatian rock runs from the 1970s Zagreb school of Parni Valjak and Prljavo Kazalište to the Rijeka provocation of Let 3 and the 2020s festival electro-rock of Baby Lasagna. Its anthems soundtracked both Yugoslav stadium tours and the emotional charge of 1990s independence, when Prljavo Kazalište's Ruža hrvatska became an unofficial hymn. The scene still fills arenas and keeps regenerating through Eurovision-scale moments.
