About Croatian Hip-Hop
Croatian hip-hop found its voice in the 1990s and split into two poles: Zagreb's harder boom bap and Split's melodic, humor-laced Dalmatian school led by The Beat Fleet. Rapping in dialect rather than imitating American flows made the scene distinctly local, and a 2010s generation around Vojko V pushed it into the mainstream with festival headline slots and viral singles.
