About Rave / Electronic

The UK's late-1980s acid house revolution rewired pop music. Out of warehouse raves in Manchester, Sheffield, and the M25 orbital, The Prodigy made aggressive crossover rave, The Chemical Brothers built the big-beat template, and Underworld turned rave into emotional Trainspotting-soundtrack art. The lineage runs through drum and bass, UK garage, dubstep, and into nearly every electronic genre that followed.
