About Sandow

Formed by teenagers in Cottbus, Sandow emerged from the East German underground playing an eclectic mix of punk, rock, and avant-garde. Featured in the 1988 documentary Flüstern & Schreien, their anthem 'Born in the GDR' captured the defiance of the alternative DDR scene.
