About Rubby Pérez

Rubby Pérez is known as the highest voice in merengue, a soaring tenor that cuts through any brass section. A childhood accident ended his baseball hopes and pushed him toward music, and he rose to fame in Wilfrido Vargas's orchestra before going solo in the late 1980s. Volveré became his signature and one of the most requested merengues of all time.
