About Pero Lovšin

Pero Lovšin is the through-line of Slovenian punk. He fronted Pankrti from 1977, ran the slightly milder Sokoli through the 80s and 90s, and never stopped writing. His solo career proved that a punk songwriter can age into a folk-storyteller without losing the bite: songs like "Briga me" and "Ti lahko" are plainly Slovene, plainly his, and plainly still made by the same man who shouted "Lublana je bulana" in 1978.
