Soca singer who broke through as a teenager alongside Machel Montano and has since built one of the most consistent solo careers in the form. Her records are written from a woman's point of view with a directness that made songs like Mind My Business into anthems well beyond Carnival. She has been a fixture of the Soca Monarch competition for two decades. Her audience now reaches far into the diaspora.
