About Kiko Veneno

Kiko Veneno is a singer-songwriter and pioneer of nuevo flamenco whose wit and eclecticism shaped Spanish fusion. He wrote Volando Voy, made famous by Camarón de la Isla, and led the influential band Veneno in the late 1970s. His 1992 album Échate un cantecito, featuring En un Mercedes blanco, became a cult classic. He remains a respected and idiosyncratic voice in Spanish music.
