Bad Gyal is a Catalan artist who helped bring dancehall and reggaeton into the Spanish urban mainstream. She broke out in 2016 with a viral Catalan-language version of a Rihanna hit and built a following with her cool, auto-tuned party anthems. Her sound mixes dancehall, trap, and Latin club rhythms with a distinctly Spanish edge. She has become one of the leading women of Spain's urbano scene.
