Pilita Corrales, crowned Asia's Queen of Songs, was one of the most glamorous and enduring stars of Filipino popular music. Fluent across languages and styles, she moved from kundiman and love ballads to cha-cha and pop, and won early Asian song festivals that put Philippine music on the regional map. A television mainstay for decades, she remained a grande dame of OPM until her death in 2024.
