About Modrijani

Modrijani are the most popular narodno-zabavna ensemble of the post-Avsenik generation. Founded in Štore in 2000 by Blaž Švab and friends, they sell out stadiums in Slovenia and the Slovenian diaspora across Austria, Germany, and the Americas. Where Avsenik canonised the form, Modrijani modernised it: bigger productions, sing-along choruses, polished music videos. Their hits sit at the centre of every Slovenian wedding, harvest, and celebration of the past two decades.
