About Mayra Andrade

Mayra Andrade is the sophisticated modern face of Cape Verdean music, a Kriolu-singing songwriter who fuses morna and island rhythms with jazz, French chanson, and global pop. Born in Cuba to Cape Verdean parents and raised across several countries, she broke through with the 2006 album Navega. Her 2019 record Manga marked a bolder, more electronic turn, confirming her as one of the most acclaimed voices of the Cape Verdean diaspora.
