About Los Corraleros de Majagual
Powerhouse tropical ensemble formed in 1962 by the Discos Fuentes label, a launching pad for many of Colombia's greatest coastal musicians. Bringing together accordion, brass, and percussion, they popularized cumbia, porro, and paseaíto across Colombia and Latin America. Alumni including Alfredo Gutiérrez, Lisandro Meza, and Calixto Ochoa went on to major solo careers. Their exuberant sound defined the golden age of Colombian tropical music.
