Dogo du Togo works with The Alagaa Beat Band on a funk built out of southern Togolese rhythms and sung largely in Ewé. The records keep the horns and rhythm guitar of an older Lomé sound while the writing stays current. Avoudé is the clearest recent statement of that approach. He has performed internationally and drawn coverage from outlets including VOA.
