About Togolese Hip-Hop

Togolese rap runs from party records to explicitly political writing, and its most internationally visible figure works at the latter end. Elom 20ce builds pan-Africanist argument in French with Ewé and English woven through, and calls the wider practice Arctivism. The scene works largely independently of commercial radio.
