Thaitanium, the country's first hip-hop crew with a Thai-American membership, took it international through the 2000s. F.HERO and his Whattheduck label built the modern scene; Milli, his protégée, took it to Coachella in 2022 and ate mango sticky rice on stage, briefly turning a national dessert into a global meme.
