À propos de Beyond

Hong Kong rock band formed in 1983, fronted by guitarist and vocalist Wong Ka Kui. Beyond pushed Cantopop into rock territory with anthems about social justice, racial equality, and personal freedom, drawing on Wong's travels to Papua New Guinea and Africa. After Wong died from a stage accident in Tokyo in 1993, the remaining members carried on through 2005 before going their separate ways, but the original lineup's catalogue remains the standard Chinese-language rock songbook.
