Yıldız Tilbe is Turkey's most prolific pop songwriter and one of its most distinctive voices, blending pop with arabesque and folk. Delikanlım in 1994 made her a star, and she has written hits for Tarkan, Sezen Aksu, and dozens of others. Her raw, emotional delivery made Vazgeçtim a modern standard.
