About Thalía
Thalía joined the teen-pop group Timbiriche in 1986 and turned a soap-opera career into the most prominent Spanish-language pop crossover of the 1990s. Her telenovela trilogy María Mercedes, María la del Barrio, and Marimar made her the most-recognised Mexican woman on television; her solo albums En Éxtasis and Amor a la Mexicana made her the country's pop queen. She signed with EMI, recorded with Tony Bennett and Romeo Santos, and has sold more than 25 million albums. Married to Tommy Mottola since 2000, she remains an active recording artist with several Latin Grammy nominations in the 2020s.
