About Ruki Vverh!

Ruki Vverh! was formed in 1996 by Sergey Zhukov and Aleksey Potekhin and became the defining Russian dance pop act of the late 1990s. The debut album Dyshite ravnomerno in 1997 introduced Student, and the 1998 follow up Sdelay pogromche! added Kroshka moya. Simple dance beats and lovelorn lyrics filled discos across the country, and hits such as 18 mne uzhe and On tebya tseluet kept the run going into the early 2000s. The group split in 2006, and Zhukov revived the name in 2008.
