About OTYKEN

OTYKEN is a Siberian folk-pop group formed in 2015 in Krasnoyarsk Krai by producer and songwriter Andrey "Medonos" Chernetsov. Its members come from small settlements in the region, and the group describes its songs as drawing on Chulym, Khakas and other Indigenous Siberian traditions. OTYKEN pairs throat singing and traditional instruments with electronic beats and films its videos along Siberian rivers and in the taiga. The group released its debut album in 2018, and Legend, from 2022, brought it a large international audience online.
