British-born singer raised in Melbourne who became one of the highest-selling country-pop artists of the 1970s. Grease (1978), in which she starred opposite John Travolta, gave her You're the One That I Want and Hopelessly Devoted to You. Physical (1981) was Billboard's top single of the year. She died in 2022 after three decades of breast-cancer advocacy work.
