About Mahasti

A mezzo-soprano who sang Persian classical, folk and pop across more than four decades, and the younger sister of Hayedeh. Del Mige Delbar Miad appeared on an Ahang Rooz LP in 1972, during the years when Tehran still had a recording industry of its own. She left Iran after the revolution and kept recording in Los Angeles, including work with Sattar. She died in 2007, seventeen years after her sister.
