About Ledward Kaʻapana

A virtuoso of slack-key guitar and leo kiʻekiʻe falsetto, celebrated for his dazzling technique and warm stage presence. He first gained fame in the 1970s with the family group Hui ʻOhana before a long and prolific solo career. A Grammy nominee and National Heritage Fellow, he is one of the most recorded and influential slack-key artists alive. His playing has carried the tradition to concert stages around the world.
