About Kondi Band

Kondi Band is a collaboration between Sorie Kondi, a blind singer and kondi (thumb piano) player who worked the streets of Freetown, and the producers Chief Boima and Will LV. Chief Boima, a Sierra Leonean-American DJ raised in Milwaukee, found a video of Sorie Kondi's Without Money, No Family online in 2007 and remixed it before the two began working together. London producer Will Horrocks of LV joined to shape the band's club sound. Strut Records released the debut album Salone in 2017 and the follow-up We Famous, with guests including the singer Mariama, in 2021.
