About Kishore Kumar
The most distinctive male voice in Bollywood history, Kishore Kumar dominated Hindi film music from the late 1960s through the 1980s. A self-taught singer who never had formal training, his yodelling, spontaneity, and emotional range made him the voice of Rajesh Khanna and Amitabh Bachchan. He won eight Filmfare Awards for Best Male Playback Singer.
