About Keola Beamer

A slack-key master and songwriter from one of Hawaii's most storied musical families. His 1978 song 'Honolulu City Lights', written with his brother Kapono, became one of the best-selling Hawaiian recordings ever and a modern island standard. He has expanded the kī hōʻalu tradition with new compositions and collaborations across genres. He is regarded as one of the leading figures of contemporary Hawaiian music.
