About Katchafire

Katchafire are one of New Zealand's great roots reggae bands, formed in Hamilton and named after a Bob Marley album. Since the early 2000s their warm, groove-driven sound has made them ambassadors of Aotearoa reggae, touring the world and helping define a distinctly Pasifika take on the genre. Songs like Giddy Up and Collie Herb Man are staples of the Kiwi summer soundtrack.
