About Juan Atkins

Juan Atkins is the originator of Detroit techno. As Cybotron he recorded Clear in 1983, and as Model 500 he released No UFO's, the record that gave the genre its name and its futurist blueprint. With Derrick May and Kevin Saunderson he formed the Belleville Three, whose sound conquered European dance floors.
