About Hichkas
Widely called the father of Persian rap, and the artist who established that it could work in Persian with Iranian musical material rather than imported beats. Ye Mosht Sarbaz, produced by Mahdyar Aghajani in 2008, is one of its founding records. The scene he started operates without official permission, so it spread through file sharing rather than release. He has lived outside Iran since 2010.
