About Don Omar

Don Omar, known as El Rey, was one of the biggest reggaetón stars of the 2000s, a Carolina native whose booming voice and melodic hooks dominated the genre's commercial peak. His debut The Last Don made him a superstar, and later he steered reggaetón toward global pop with the worldwide smash Danza Kuduro. His rivalry and collaborations with Daddy Yankee defined an era of the music.
