About Courtney Barnett

Melbourne singer-songwriter and guitarist whose deadpan-narrative indie-rock established her in 2013 with Avant Gardener. Sometimes I Sit and Think, and Sometimes I Just Sit (2015) earned a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist. Her Milk! Records label has become a hub for Melbourne indie. Things Take Time, Take Time (2021) refined the songwriting into quieter, more introspective territory.
