About Cho Yong-pil

Cho Yong-pil is widely regarded as the King of Pop in Korea, with a career beginning in 1968. He broke through nationally with Come Back to Busan Port and dominated the 1980s with hits like The Woman Outside the Window, moving fluidly between ballads, rock, trot, and folk. In 2013 his nineteenth album Hello and its single Bounce introduced him to a new generation and topped the charts. He has continued releasing new music into the 2020s and remains one of the most respected figures in Korean music.
