Billo's Caracas Boys
About Billo's Caracas Boys
Billo's Caracas Boys is the most storied dance orchestra in Venezuelan history. Founded by the Dominican-born bandleader Billo Frómeta, who made Caracas his home, the group spent decades turning merengue, guaracha, gaita, and bolero into glossy, joyful party music. Their famous mosaicos, medleys stitching a dozen songs into one, and anthems like Epa Isidoro became the soundtrack of Venezuelan celebration, and no December passes without them.
