About Beny More
Known as El Barbaro del Ritmo, Beny More had a voice and a feel for swing that put him in a category of one. He sang son, mambo, guaracha, and bolero with equal command and led the Banda Gigante through the great pre-revolution years of Cuban music. He died at 43 from cirrhosis, but his recordings still define what Cuban singing can be.
