About Ayumi Hamasaki
Ayumi Hamasaki is the Empress of J-pop, the singer who built her own myth across the early 2000s and sold more than fifty million records doing it. From the 1999 single Boys & Girls through the late-bubble megahits Seasons and M, she dominated the Japanese charts more completely than any other woman before or since. The 2008 Asia tour drew 800,000 fans across ten cities and confirmed her as the first j-pop artist with a regional, pan-Asian audience.
