About Anita Mui

Known as the Madonna of Asia and the Daughter of Hong Kong, Anita Mui was a singer and actor whose theatrical reinvention from album to album reshaped the visual grammar of Cantopop. She won the inaugural New Talent Singing Awards in 1982 and went on to record stadium-sized hits and tender ballads in equal measure. Her final concert in November 2003, performed weeks before her death from cervical cancer at 40, remains one of the most emotionally watched live shows in Chinese pop history.
