Música Bailable
Über Música Bailable
Música bailable is the big-band tropical dance music that ruled Venezuelan parties for decades, played by full orchestras of brass, percussion, and singers. Billo's Caracas Boys, founded by the Dominican-born Billo Frómeta, and its great rival Los Melódicos turned merengue, guaracha, gaita, and bolero into a glossy, joyful dance repertoire. Their medleys and Christmas hits remain inseparable from Venezuelan celebration, and no December passes without them.
