Woody Guthrie wrote This Land Is Your Land and hundreds of other songs about Dust Bowl migrants, union workers, and the American landscape. His guitar carried the slogan This Machine Kills Fascists, and his plain style became the model for Bob Dylan and the entire folk revival. He died in 1967 of Huntington's disease.
