Star Zee is the stage name of Linda Samai, a dancehall and hip-hop artist born and raised in Freetown. She joined Stress Inc Records at 14 and sang in the four-woman group Ladies Day Out, whose album Focus on Africa came out in December 1998. She went solo in 2003 and has since released five albums. Leader, her 2017 single with the Ghanaian dancehall artist Stonebwoy, earned her a Best Collaboration award in Sierra Leone.
