Slot Machine, formed in Bangkok in 2002, became one of Thai indie rock's most consistently touring acts after frontman Kanthorn Boonkanjanakorn left his earlier band Sleeper 1. Their 2012 single Yon and 2019 follow-up Phlueak built a polished alternative-rock sound that found steady airplay on TERO MUSIC and slotmachineVEVO. They have headlined Cat Expo, Big Mountain Music Festival, and toured Japan. Their 2019 album Mutation marked a pivot toward more atmospheric guitar work and confirmed their place as the connective tissue between 1990s Modern Dog and the Phum Viphurit-era indie wave.
