Simon & Garfunkel brought folk harmony to the top of the pop charts in the late 1960s. Paul Simon's songwriting and Art Garfunkel's soaring tenor produced The Sound of Silence, Mrs. Robinson, and Bridge over Troubled Water before the duo split in 1970. Their 1981 reunion concert in Central Park drew half a million people.
