Sertab Erener brought conservatory-trained technique and a powerful range to Turkish pop. After emerging through Sezen Aksu's circle, she built a catalog spanning dramatic ballads, electronic pop, and acoustic projects. Her 2003 Eurovision victory gave Turkey its first win in the competition.
