Sagopa Kajmer is the philosopher of Turkish hip-hop, a rapper and producer from Samsun whose dense, melancholic lyrics and boom-bap production defined the underground of the 2000s. With Ceza he formed the duo that made rap a national genre, and albums like Bir Pesimistin Gözyaşları remain sacred texts for Turkish rap fans.
