Rawayana is the Venezuelan band that carried the country's sun-soaked pop to the top of the Latin music world. Formed in Caracas in 2007 around singer Alberto Montenegro, they blend reggae, psychedelic pop, funk, and Caribbean rhythms into a laid-back, instantly recognizable sound. Their 2024 album ¿Quién Trae Las Cornetas? won the Latin Grammy for Album of the Year, a first for a Venezuelan act, cementing them as flag-bearers of the diaspora generation.
