Über Nélida Karr
Singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist born in Malabo in 1990 to the producer Samuel Karr and the singer Domitila Rosario. She grew up around Bubi music, church singing and the katya, kottó and bonko rhythms that still shape her writing, and plays piano, guitar and percussion. Her debut Ewerawera appeared in 2010, followed by Batobiera in 2013 and Influencias in 2016, and The Africa Report named her one of six people to watch in Central Africa in 2014. She has played WOMEX, serves as a UNICEF goodwill ambassador for Equatorial Guinea, and released the album Mil Maneras in 2025.
