Über Kim Min-gi

Kim Min-gi was a singer-songwriter and theater producer who studied fine arts at Seoul National University. He wrote Morning Dew in 1970, which became a landmark protest anthem of the Korean democracy movement, and several of his songs were banned by the government. His work blended Korean folk and pop with quiet moral force. He later founded the Hakchon theater and adapted the musical Line 1 for Korean audiences, and he died in Seoul in 2024.
