Finaçon
Über Finaçon
Finaçon, led by Zeca di Nha Reinalda, were central to the revival of batuku and funaná as recorded, danceable music in the late 1980s and 1990s. Named after the finason chant that crowns a batuku performance, the group carried Santiago's deep percussion traditions onto records and international stages. Their work helped legitimize genres the colonial establishment had long dismissed.
