Dino Dvornik was Croatia's king of funk, a Split showman who made groove a national language. His self-titled 1989 debut, packed with hits like Zašto praviš slona od mene, brought James Brown swagger to Croatian pop and never left the playlists. Charismatic, troubled, and universally loved, he remained the country's benchmark for rhythm until his death in 2008.
